Setting the footing forms and getting ready to pour.

The pumper truck is in place and ready to go.
Hmm, I always wonder how many wheel barrow loads the pumper truck saves us

First truck is out and we are waiting for the next truck

More Concrete, here we go again

Se the guy in the bright yellow? He is carrying little remote that runs the pumper.

Digging Rock

The Dig

After putting off the dig a few times we decide to go for it despite the iffy weather forecast.
All the more reason to start by digging a drain route to lower elevation and day light.

Dig, Dig, Dig, and Haul Away

We finally got enough dug so that we can start to pull our lines and corners down into the pit.
So far the digging has gone well. We have reach some brownstone but nothing that s,owed the dig.

I didn't have a good picture of the bucket before but this is a new bucket, one for ripping and breaking rock. Yes, we are into the rock. This slowed the dig a little but not to bad.

The dig is almost complete but before we pull to far away we like to through some sand into the pit. Better for walking and working on if it rains and ultimately compacted as part of the base for the floor.

The daylight drain before we backfill. This is 4" pvc that will connect to the drain tile.

By the end of the day we have a little sand in the hole and the footings are starting to form up!

Site clearing

The Permit Tree! Let the fun Begin!

It is always a little bitter sweet, clearing the site for the driveway and house!

Hauling rock for the road on the way in and slash or slop on the way out.
